Tank leak

Question
Hello,
I have a new 3 month old 10g tank.  I lost 3 fish in the beginning so I let it cycle more.  I just added 2 female platys on Sunday-a week ago.  One was pregnant and Tues we had babies.  I now have 8 in a breeder net.  I get up this morning and there is water on the carpet and it appears to be slowly leaking from the bottom.  I can not tell where. What do I do if I get a new tank?  Can it be sealed if I can find from where?  I can't really lift it.  Can it start just after 3 months?
Thanks so much.

Answer
What I would do is to call the place that you bought the tank from... they should exchange the tank for you without a hassle.  In the meantime I would transfer the fish to another container and then if you can save the water in a bucket, etc... do so and replace it and the gravel from the old tank into the new tank.  The tank can be resealed but if it is as new as you have said it should be replaced and not repaired.  I hope this helps... dave
