Question

fighting fish Hi I brought fighter today and made the shop give me one that looked like he was on deaths door, so he wouldn't die in a pet shop.
He has livened up since coming home, and is swimming around the tank and eating. He is still opening his mouth like he is using it to breath, and he has strange fins. More like a piece of thin string for eack fin than beautiful long flowing fins almost as if they are stuck together but very neatly. They do not appear to be shreaded as the fin rot ones in pictures I researched. I am not sure if he was born like it? I have added fin rot drops just incase. (hence the green H2O if the picture I sent you worked.)Any other suggestions.

He has whats called clamped fins. It is usually brought on by stress. Just keep his water clean, at 80 degrees at all times and this should help him with that. Hopefully, in a few days his fins will start looking like they are supposed to look.
