real plants

i have a 30 gal and i want t make a real plant garden and i was wondering wat kind of plants do rpoe fish like i want to put my guppys in my 55 and us my 30 for a plant tank with 2 rope fish and a nigerian senegalus pluse wat other kind of fish can go with them could the guppys thanks

Hi Dylan:  Rope fish love tall reed like plants because the wrap around them and hold themselves still waiting for food to pass by.  If you can find lucky bamboo that will sometimes work... larger amazon sword plants will also work.  I would not mix any small fish with the ropes as they will eat them.  Their natural food source includes worms, frogs, minnow, and other crustaceans.  Your bichor will love worms and sometimes krill.   Mix larger fish with them such as gourami, mild cichlids such as severum, chocolate, Uaru, or maybe some barbs.   hope this helps... dave
