Question
Hi ive recently bought a 50gal and have finished cycling the tank. i have already added pretty much all the fish i want but i was wondering if adding a fair amount of live plants into an aquarium would increase its stocking capacity.

Answer
That's a good question, It can increase your capacity for fish but it will not decrease your aquariums capability to contain the fish, Unless you would like to do more water changes then normal say about once a week or more and say take 5-10 gallons out, I wouldn't add anymore fish, of course I don't know what you have currently stocked so this may be an overstatement, Of course adding plants livens the aquarium and I happily suggest you do so as you can create gorgeous aquascapes with it.
