Hi David,
Duckweed is a very hardy plant. Most people struggle to get rid of it. I have heard it can thrive in mild-moderate brackish aquariums. The saltier the water gets though it may not do so well. Its hard to say whether or not it will adapt to your situation but its worth a try!
