convict cichlid fry

well it happened, new fry! I have put them in a 10gal tank.When do i remove the parents back to large tank? or do i? newby fish daddy wants the best can you help?

Well congrats :)  

I've never had convicts, but I do recall reading that the parents will take care of them for about 8 weeks.  And, of course I can't find the link with that info.....I would say, depending on what you're going to do with all them, once the fry are "free swimming" around, it should be safe to remove the parents.  Check with some other experts though, like I said, I don't have experience with these fish.  But, overall like most cichlids, they're good parents to the fry.
