my fish is sick

i have a fighting fish and i don't know how to tell if he is sick or is he dieing he floats to the and then just lies there on the rocks i cleaned the tank well i just want to know what to do to help him

Ok, you gotta try again. He floats to the?? What??? What size tank is he in? What is his heater set at? How often are you changing the water and how much are you changing? What are you feeding him? What are the water readings? I need information. Remember, I am not there I cannot see the fish. You need to give me as much information as you can.
