is my fish sick or just lazy?

I have a type of gold fish and at first it's belly looked swollen and now it is back to normal. except now it is not very active and just hunkers down in one corner of the tank. could it be pregnant or sick or lazy??? would it help if i gave it a salt bath?

That could be a number of things causing that.  
Do you have a test kit, and if so what's the ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates reading?
How large is the tank?
How many and what kind of fish are in the tank?
How new is the tank? And how long have you had the fish?
Any other symptoms-is the fish eating, rubbing/scratching on objects, rapid breathing/gill movement?
