Question
I am not sure but today I woke up and look in my tank and in my fishes hiding spot there many little round orange objects that looked like eggs what confused me about this is the fish that uses this area is a male. My question is what to these types of fish eggs look like so I know if these are eggs or just something else. the are small round and orange and the are stuck to the bottom of a ceramic cave. thanks I hope you can help

Answer
Hi Ezra
Sounds like eggs to me :)  Usually they're more of a tan/brownish color, they might appear orange due to the substrate or lighting though.  It's common for lots of male fish species to share in the duties of caring and raising the eggs and fry.  He may be guarding them.  Or, it's possible the male is a female.  I'd let them be, most African cichlids are great parents, so they should do fine with them.

Good luck!
