Can I use house plant food sticks with aquatic plants?
55 gal is very well balanced with fish and plants.

Honestly i dont see it being a problem i know alot of people that use fertilizer made for outdoor plants in there aquarium and they work fine. but there is a reason fish stores carry root tabs for aquatic plants, you just never know what else they put in the food sticks. I would highly suggest just going to your fish store and buying some root tabs for aquatic plants... be safer and no worries about "what if"
