Oranda Help

Hi, i set up my tank a couple of months ago and after several teething problems everything settled down.
I have 7 oranda,s all doing fine apart from one,a small gold one, a couple of days ago, it lost some of its scales in between its eyes, like down the bridge of its nose, showing the red blood vessels beneath and it seems rather slow compared to the others. They are not picking on it in any way as i have been monitoring it, so wondered if you could help in case it has a disease which needs to be sorted out. Thank you Tracy.

Hi Tracy,
It sounds like your fish is suffering from ammonia burns hence the missing scales. Overfeeding or overcrowding can cause high ammonia levels. Reduce feeding and start doing daily water changes until you see an improvement in the fishes' health.
