Question
Hi Karen,
I am setting up a 55 gallon tank soon and I am going to get a pair of Blood Parrot Cichlids. Right now I have 4 Blue German Ram Cichlids in a 20 gallon. I would really like to put them together in the 55. Would the Rams and the Parrots be alright together in the 55?

Answer
Hello Connor!

Well, Parrot cichlids in general aren't known for their aggressiveness, most of the time they can't really bite other fish and overall are very peaceful except for the occasional harmless nip.
I own a wonderful parrot cichlid myself that I keep with angelfish, black skirt tetras, cories, a paradise fish, and a gold severum and they get along absolutely great.
I think the Rams would be fine with Parrots and it is really worth a try, what a beautiful tank that would be! :)

Best of luck to you and your tank. I hope you get parrot cichlids, they are really nice fish to have! :)

If you have any more questions, or need more info, just email me again and I would be absolutely happy to help!

Happy holidays and Happy fishkeeping!
Karen~
