Question
QUESTION: hi Karen can U help me with my fish I've got 2 black skirt tetras, 2 Odessa barbs, 2 neon rainbow fish, 3 gold barbs, 2 gold marble balloon Mollies and a bristle nose pleco and i want to add a paradise fish do you think it will work. answer soon if U can. thank, akhil

ANSWER: Hello,
Well, I'm not sure what size tank you have at the moment... But if its at least 15-20 gallon a single paradise fish would probably do fine. But keep in mind that many times paradise fish have individual personalities and one may be severely aggressive while another may be placid. But in general, they usually are OK with community fish.

Best of luck!

QUESTION: sorry i have a 60 litre tank with a 75 litre elitestingray filter and i havent got a quarantine tank do u think i should get one not that any of my fish r sick but incase o mollies giving birth or a fish getting sick

Answer
No problem...

Sounds good!

A quarantine tank is never a bad idea and can be a real relief when you bring new fish home, have a pregnant fish, or have a sick fish. One thing people do that is quite a smart idea is you don't have to have your quarantine tank setup all the time as long as you have a sponge filter running in your main aquarium along with your regular filter. Then the trick to this is when the need arises that you need to setup your quarantine tank, simply set it up with conditioned water and put the fish and the sponge filter in the tank. The sponge filter will contain much bacteria to keep the water relatively ammonia free instantly.

It's a much-used method and something I've done multiple times.

That way you don't have to have that extra tank sitting around!

Hope this helps!
