pregnant?

my fish   i have a dalmatian or marble balloon molly. she has been very fat and also scared. i have her in a net breeder in my 10 gallon breeder tank. she has been really fat for 1 week. i also got her a week ago from petco there was LOTS of males in her tank. not sure when she will be popping out fry but just in case i put her in the net breeder. because of her coloration i cant tell if she has the black spot or not. the temperature is at 80, i clean the tank 15% every other day. the tank is planted and growing nicely. i also put extra salt in. i need help making sure she is pregnant and possibly when she will have her fry. also any pointers for me.

Jessica ...Yes she is very pregnant. It usually takes about 21 to 28 days to give birth for live bearers. I would not put her in a breeder too soon it can stress her out. I would put her in the net in about a week unless she has them sooner if you catch it. If not carefully net the fry into the net for feeding. The thing is you have a planted tank so there will be plenty of places for the baby's to hide as they get off they fry food and on ground flake. So you don't end up with tons of Mollies' you can let nature take its course and some will make it. That is up to you though !!! Good Luck, Tina
