betta breading

Question
HI,my female betta attacks her male when he flares at her. She has badly damaged his fins (they lived peacefully together for 3 month).Now i keep them separately in two smaller tanks,and they flare at each other through the glass. And now they both have built the bobble nest.They are male and female 100%.Any idea what to do? I did not create them conditions for breeding.

She could be tearing him up because she is bigger than him or she just isnt ready you can tell if she is ready by checking for verticle line runnig down her body.  if they are both building bubble nest than you should wait until he grows bigger (or get a bigger one) until you put them together
