Question
Hi,
I have just been given a small tank 8.25"x18.5"x8.25". I was told it would be suitable for 2 goldfish is this correct?
Also what do I need to get prior to buying the fish. I have gravel, and a very cute fake coral but I'm sure I need more than that.
What do I need to do prio to adding the fish?
I don't want to kill anything but the websites are very confusing (cicling?)
many thanks
Lowri

Answer
Dont worry too much about the cycling. You need a filter and a light with glass canopy. Also you need de-clorinator to make the water safe for fish. Also, it depends on the size of the fish whether you can add two. If you get two small goldfish than yes. But keep in mind that goldfish are often said to be for beginners but are actually very fragile fish. Perhaps you should consider an easier fish for the first ones? I have no prob helping you pick the best ones. Other than light, glass canopy, filter, de-clorinator, and food that is basically all you need. Once you have all of this set up the tank and plug everything in and let it sit for one day than you can begin slowly adding fish. Let me know if you need more help.
