35GALLON XTRA TALL TANK

HI I HAD FIFTEEN BEAUTIFUL GOLD FISH IN MY TANK NOW I HAVE ONE IN THE SPACE OF 2 DAYS. I DID A COMPLETE WATER CHANGE OF MY TANK BECAUSE IT WAS FILTHY AND I USED DRINKING WATER TO FILL IT. I PUT IN THE ALGAE CONTROLLER AND WATER TREATMENT. THEN I ADDED MY FISH AFTER ABOUT 1/2 HOUR BACK TO MY TANK. THEY STARTED DYING 1 AND 2 AT A TIME. WHAT IS GOING ON CAN U HELP ME?

Hi Amy,

Without knowing the water conditions I would say that you had a drastic change in the pH of the tank water.  Fish are very sensitive to pH changes and a drastic change will kill your fish quickly.

You should never do a full water change on a tank.  Instead you need to do regular water changes.  I recommend 20% per week.
