Question
I have also had large aquariums in the past. This time i am setting up a fluval edge.I am going ti keep just one dwarf orange crayfish. There bioload is very low.Do you think it will be enough to keep the beneficial bacteria alive. The fluval edge is a 6 gallon tank. Thank you.

Answer
Hi Don,
Yes a dwarf crayfish is fairly small and will have a small bioload.  Are you also going to be feeding your crayfish?  The excess food will provide nutrients for the benefical bacteria and keep it going.  Along with the crayfish's waste.  If you want you could add more Dwarf crayfish of the same color to prevent interbreeding or some fast fish?
