fresh food for african cichlids

i heard i can feed my fish spinach leaves, what other food can i feed? how about fruit say peaches.

Hi Alister,
Spinach leaves is good if your fish will eat it.  Most fish can be fed boiled mushed peas also and love it so you want to try that also.  Vegetables help their gastrointestinal tract and prevents blockage just like us humans.  Peach is too acidic and I wouldnt suggest that for the fish.  Same with anything that has vitamin C such as orangesm grapefruit, etc.  Also remember to not feed fish any types of fat, their body system is different from ours and is very difficult for them to be able to break it down.
