Mineral Stains

Question
I am having alot of trouble removing some mineral stains.  Not even a razor blade seams to budge these  stubborn stains.  I have tried vinegar and others.  Even CLR.  I know it will need some rinsing but I want the glass to look like new while I have it empty.  WHat do I do?

Answer
Hi Andrew,

Perhaps you should try "Lime-off" made for use in the aquarium. You must rinse your aquarium many times for even a small dose of CLR can be lethal to your fish!

White mineral stains can be a terrible hassle and a great annoyance. You can find Lime-off at "www.drsfosterandsmith.com" or www.petsolutions.com"
Vinegar should work, are you sure you soaked it well enough and then let it sit for at least 20 minutes and then scrubbed well? Not that I am saying you didn't do it right but it's odd that it didn't work.

I really hope this helps! If you have anymore questions, feel free to email me..

Best of luck!
Happy fishkeeping!
