Unidentified Gobies

Question
At one of my local pet stores there were some teeny (1.5-2cm) spotted
bottom feeders that were neither identified nor for sale; I was told they "came
in with the feeder fish;" I have since decided that they're some kind of
freshwater goby/siphonodon critter but I don't know the variety yet; the guy
gave them to me because I fell in love with their attentive head-turning and
interest in the environment. Algae/spirulina? Sand substrate? Brackish-loving
even though they were in fresh water? Alkaline water? My camera is not
photographing them well or I'd attach a picture. Thank you for any help you
can give. They're cute as they can be but I've never seen them in any pet shop
before.

Answer
Hi Randi,
I know you've tried already but a picture would really help. Even a blurry one would be OK. Because I'm honestly not sure what species of goby this might be. Maybe Knight Gobies? But this probably isn't correct.

I'll do my best to help!
If you could send any somewhat decent pictures you may have, that'd be wonderful.

Karen~
