Question

Cichlids Hi,
Please can you tell which cichlids i shouldn't put with parrots.
I bought a few a week ago and someone is biting the fins of parrots.
Dogtooth Cichlid
Electric Blue Hap
Trewavas Red-Finned Cichlid
and another one which several colors (photo attached)
Please help. thanks

Hi Ralph,

He's a Malawi Cichlid. I'd go with Labeotropheus trewavasae (Likoma) or Labeotropheus Fullerborni, which you can view at http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/results.php?genus=104

He is aggressive. All Malawi Cichlids are.

He may be your fin nipper, and parrot fish are not harty enough to be introduced alongside African Cichlids. All Africans will nip other fish who are less able to defend themselves.

They are an aggressive fish, and should only be kept with their own Malawi lake residents.
