Question
My Albino Oscar
My Albino Oscar
ok i thank you for your answer in regards to the adhesive but now i have another question....I have two (2) confirmed female Oscars they are both in seperate tanks right now although they were originally together as juviniles (3 inches) what size tank would i need to build to be able to house these two pretty girls together again without issues...the albino (albie) whips the worms out of my red oscar (Ziva) keeping in mind i would like to put all their tank mates together in the tank with them...tanks mates are as follows....5 Huge Convicts (9 inches)and one Red tale shark(red who is 7inches)who can hold his own and make any oscar run or swim as the case may be...and they are all full grown. thank you so much..oh and nobody has any mates or opposite sex of these fish...so no BREEDERS in my tanks. thank you

Answer
Hi Lynn

2 full grown Oscars, 5 Convicts and a Redtail Shark together will need at least a 75 gallon tank. But a 90 gallon or larger would be preferred.

I have 2 Oscars, 1 Convict, 1 Firemouth, 1 Green Severum, 1 Redtail Shark and a Pleco in a 90 gallon tank without any problems. And yes you are correct, the full grown Redtail Shark can hold his own against Cichlids.

I hope this helps you, good luck!

Richard
