QUESTION: Hello, I made her to ate pea approx 12 hours ago & she ate only 2 pieces but she is still discolored with bloated belly... This makes me worry alot and I also check her tank very carefully but there were no pops

Answer
Hi Arsalan,
Feeding peas is always a good start in determining what may be causing the bloat in your betta.

One thing I just noticed is you are saying "She".. I didn't realize we were talking about a female here! :) In that case, female bettas will develop somewhat large rounded bellies when they mature and this often due to developing eggs. How is she discolored? Is she showing striped coloration on her body? This would signal she is going into spawning mode.

Its good that she is still eating. Otherwise, typically a sick betta will not eat. So I'm reluctant to say its dropsy. A condition which has many triggers and is often difficult to cure. An affected fish will bloat up, and its scales will often stick out on either side when viewed from above.

I hope all is well with your betta.
Good luck!
Susan~
