Question
we have two snowflake moreay eels and have never seen them eat. we have tried a variety of frozen and freeze dried foods. we are hesitant to feed live as we have lost a number of fish to illness brought in by feeder fish. Thank yo ufor your help

Answer
Hi Carmen
Here's a really good article I found on them.  It mentions that if they're conditions aren't met, they'll be stressed which will cause them not to eat.  It's worth a look over to make sure you have everything for them.  You may have to try with feeders for awhile, you're right feeders aren't the best.  You could quarantine them first.  Maybe you could try breeding your own feeders?  But maybe start with some feeders so they at least eat something, and mix in some thawed cut up shrimp, crab, squid, try some frozen blood worms, beefheart, and eventually wean them onto the frozen food instead.

Good luck!!
