albino corys

hi david i have a question about my albino corys
i just got 3 albino corys,they are the only fish in the tank and i put them in a small tank not very big about the width of a phone book  i got them today  and i have no idea how to feed them. petland told me they stay at the bottom but they keep going to the top of the tank like how goldfish look for food and sometimes the stay still for along time and i think they are dead but they are not please help

I would do a 30% water change and see if that helps them. It sounds like your tank chemistry may be different from what they are use to.  Try that and let me know how that works... Cory cats like to be on the bottom of the tank.  They are scavengers so they eat extra food.  I would recommend that you supplement their diets with sinking algae wafers.  How old is the tank you have?  dave
