HITH and ammonia clear

the other one said i had to many followups and i have good news and bad news and yet another question for you.
Jamal's HITH is getting MUCH MUCH better they are not indents anymore and some are almost back to his color. As to one is still white, but smaller.
as for the other oscar who was rubbing herself on everything i threw some pimafix in there but did not take the cartridge out becuase i really could not afford more ammonia and she died this morning.
Now for my question. Jamal has a white (kind of fuzzy looking) bump on his left side. Which i would assume is fungus, but i just wanted to check. if it is not fungus what could it be? (if fungus or not) can i treat this with aquarium salt because that is what is in there right now or do i have to use my pimafix or melafix

Hi Nikki:  I would just use aquarium salt unless you can take the filter cartridge out?  is your ammonia still high??? cause if it is... you need to clean your tank and I do mean really good...including the gravel.  I will not help to just keep dumping medicine in the tank as that will inadvertently cause the ammonia to go up... the medicine also kills off the good and bad bacteria.  It sounds like your fish has fungus... The tank temperature needs to be at least 78-82 degrees and you need to make sure she is eating well... dave
