Hi my goldfish goes crazy and hurts itself and is raw around the face due to hitting the rocks and sides of my small tank

Hi Terry:  I would have the water checked to see if the water chemistry is too high.  Often times when fish behave like this it is directly related to the water and water chemistry.  I would change his water and treat his wounds with malafix... keep me posted... dave
