QUESTION: 1000 gallons, 12 ft by 8 ft.  Koi do not have it.   Feeding Pondcare Summer Staple Premium Pellet - they are not eating much - water too cold - noticed that this fish food should be used with water temperature above 65 degrees.  I will change to Pondcare Spring and Fall Stple Premium Pellet from now on.

Answer
The change in water temperature is likely the cause of the white spots on the goldfish...I would not medicate him at this point as the medication will wipe out the bacterial colonies of your pond. I would try to feed him larger krill or a protein based food besides pellets.  You can boost his immune system with diet which may be enough for him to get rid of the parasite.  Keep me posted... dave
