Question
I have a 4 inch midas in a 30 gallon tank. I do weekly water changes. I also have a 5 inch pleco. I am just wondering how long can i keep the midas in this tank before i have to get a larger tank or sell it due to lack of space.

Answer
Hi Emmanuel,
Your Midas Cichlid should be fine for a couple of years, depending on your filtration. If you have excellent filtration, about 280 or more gallons per hour (filter output), then you could actually keep the fish in there permanently, as long as you don't add any more fish. However, you will want to get a larger tank, more than 50 gallons, if you want to keep it in OPTIMAL health, in about a year or two.

P.s. I found this question in the 'pool of unanswered questions'. Sorry for the slow response.

I hope this helps!
