QuestionQUESTION: I have an established freshwater tank of 28 gallons with three long tailed rosy barbs, how long do I wait between adding fish?
ANSWER: Hello Raul: Usually just a couple of days to a week.. depending on the water chemistry. If the ammonia is at zero then add in new fish but do so a few fish (no more then 4-5) at a time. dave

QUESTION: Thank you for the answer. One other question I have is, which are the hardiest freshwater fish? I have 3 long tailed rosey barbs right now because I have had very good success with them before. Haven't had great luck with guppies, mollies, or dwarf gouramis. Are there any you recommend?
I would appreciate any suggestion.
Raul
AnswerHi Raul: Maybe you could do an all barb tank. They come in so many varieties that when mixed they make a beautiful tank. I am quite fond of the green tiger barbs, the golden barbs, and the rosy barbs. The albino tiger barbs are very nice too. You can check out eels too. I love my eels. A shoal of Cory cats a unique plecostomus such as the blue phantom, danios giant danio, rasboras, etc... would all be goo choices too. dave
