Starting a new tropical fish tank

I have just bought a 65 Litre tank it has been running with no fish for a good 24hours now. Am i ok to add 1 or 2 small fish or should i be leaving the tank running for more like a week...?

Ideally you want to wait at least 4-5 days, however, if you want to add them sooner have your water tested for ammoina, nitrate, nitrite and pH, if they are all good, at or very near 0 except your pH in most places are around 7.0 give or take which is normal then you could add 2-3 fish and let the tank cycle with them in it for about a week or two before adding more.
