Question
i have two Red Bellied Piranhas, they are about an inch and a half big, and i also have a pleck in my tank with them, i have noticed some grey slime around my heater, i do not know what it is, can you help me please? THANK YOU, SHANE.

Answer
Hi Shane,
Grey slime often is usually a type of fungus that often develops in aquariums. It can attach to almost any surface and typically where their has been organic matter such as rotten plant parts, waste, or  leftover food especially.

The best solution to it is to use an algae scrubber and siphon it out as much as you can. Also, with those high polluters you have in your tank, make sure to do water changes as often as you can. Stepping up the regular water change schedule would help tremendously I bet.

Best of luck!
