Question
I bought a black Molly for my tank about 2 months ago, its the only Molly I have but now she looks pregnant! I know the average pregnancy is only about a month, so how could she be pregnant? She is so round she looks ready to burst!

Answer
Hi Hollie,

Mollies (like many livebearers) can actually store sperm for several broods from just one mating. So they can keep having babies even with no males present!

Its quite surprising but I'm sure you will have little baby mollies soon from the way that you described her current appearance. :)

Good luck and I hope this helps!
Susan~
