the housing of the filter system and the heater. Manual not that clear.I need to know where the heater should be and the water level.

Hi Pam,
The heater can go anywhere in the tank pretty much. It just depends upon if the heater is submersible or the hang on the side type. Most have a water level mark where the water should not drop below. Make sure nothing touches the heater and ideally place it where water flow is good. Keep the thermometer on the opposite end of the aquarium to get the most accurate temperature reading.
