why my fish died?

QUESTION: i had a black goldfish and it was happy for ages with its friend,and this morning i woke up and it had died but its scales had gone a silvery gold color why is that and what could they have died off?

ANSWER: They could have just had a short life. Also, it is super difficult to discover th cause of death without knowing if the fish had any symptoms before he died. Do you remember if he had any symptoms before death (such as spots, films, rotting fins, darting on rocks and decor, or any other odd symptoms)? Let me know if you have any more information. If not, honestly its nearly impossible to know why. It may not have been anything but simply the fishes time to go. Let me know if you need more help or have any more questions.

QUESTION: it did not have any symptoms but later that day my other fish died :( but there were no symptoms that i noticed!!

Perhaps it was an internal infection. This could be the case but you would never know. I would advice starting over and completely cleaning the tank, I am assuming no fish are left. Also, get your fish from a different place as the problem could have originated from the place you purchased your fish. Things such as this happen and sometimes there is nothing we can do, an internal disease and parsite are very difficult to detect. Dont let this discourage you from continuing with fish. Also, people say goldfish are for beginners but in my opinion they are far too fragile for beginners and often the beginner finds themself puzzled as to the difficulty. Goldfish are great but require an often untold level of knowledge and care. Let me know if you need more help.
