sick pregnant guppy?

Hi. I have recently purchased a pregnant guppy. She has been in my 30 gallon tank with platies and other guppies. She has recently developed white spots on her lips and on her eye which caused it to swell up. Is this ick? Also I have purchased another guppy and she gave birth to four guppies today. She also developed a white spot on her lip. I was just wondering if you could tell me if this is ick and if it is what should I use to cure it? If you could answer these questions tyhat would help a lot. Thanks a lot.

If the spots are about the size of grains of salt they are probably ich. It's a parasite that you can get medication for at your fish store. If the spots are larger than grains of salt, it's another type of infection. Could be bacterial or fungal or it could even be another parasite.
