freshwater shark catfish ... food???

Question
What do I feed my "shark"?   I have a 180 gallon tank and have mostly goldfish and feed them pellets that sink slowely.   They eat as the pellets sink, and then farm the rest from the bottom.   I haven't seen the 10 inch "shark" eat and I have had him a week now.  I always thought catfish were bottom eaters so I didn't worry...........
What do I feed him?   I wanted to buy another one because I love the movement I get from him.
Thanks

Answer
Hello,

I recommend trying a variety of things. Most sharks do like to find their food in the substrate, so perhaps try a different kind of sinking food, such as algae wafers. If he doesn't like that I recommend trying some freeze dried bloodworms, or another type of tempting food that will sink slowly for him to eat in the middle zone of the tank. Flake food may also be suitable.

I hope this helps.

Stephanie
