Flowerhorn fade color

Question
Hi karen, my oscar died being bullde by my pleco.
And my 2'' fh is having a fade color but good markings and pearls and has a good appetite and is moving well. Is anything wrong with it? Its in a 15g tank i'll upgrade to a 75g tank next month. Pls help...

There likely is nothing wrong with your flowerhorn. But he may need more variety in his diet with more 'color enhancing' pellets and/or flakes as well as lots of healthy meaty-type food such as krill and other foods like worms, Shrimp, ect...

Feeding two or three times a day is best. Don't forget the importance of partial water changes for these high-waste producers. Changing the water as often as you can is best.
