fish eggs or snail eggs?

Question
hi about 2 weeks ago i was given some fish and snails out of my aunty's pond for my indoor aquarium. after a few days we realized that a couple of the new fish were getting frisky with each other and a few days after that we noticed these clear oval-shaped blobs with small separate chambers inside of them. we took them out and put them in a separate tank with about 5-10 cm of water in it. at first we were certain that these were fish eggs but after searching numerous pictures we aren't so sure. none of them have mould but some of the blob's chambers contain either white, yellow or black... things in them. i don't know how to describe what they look like! the thing is, more and more keep turning up in the tank and I don't know whether it is the snails laying the eggs or the fish! they are laying the eggs mainly on the glass and plants. thank you for your time.

Answer
It sounds like its the snails. Snails are notorious for overpopulating a comfortable tank. It is highly unlikely that fish would lay this many in such a short amount of time. It very likely snails. Just be sure to not overpopulate your tank. Once the eggs hatch, which can be left in the regular tank considering they sound like the snails eggs, let them grow alittle till they are big enough for you to grab. Take them to your local petstore and ask them if they are willing to buy them from you if you wish. Otherwise you may end up with too many snails but again its not a problem to have too many snails but 10 or 20 can turn into 100 or 200 very quickly, so just be sure to manage the population. Its always good to have snails. Good luck. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else.
