fish and pregnancy

Question
Do fish lay eggs? If they do,were in the tank would they lay them and what do they look like,recently I've noticed baby fish at the top of the tank but i havent noticed any eggs

Some fish produce eggs some are live breeders where they dont have eggs, just pop out of mom. IF you have guppies they probably came from her. Unless you know how to raise the egss most of the time in a community tank they are generally eaten up by all the other fish. If you know your fish, research them and figure it out aswell :)

dont be surprised if the baby does not make it, unfortunately alot of other fish find them tasty snacks, including the mom :)
