Question
QUESTION: I have a 45 gallon tank with Chiclids in it. I have noticed for a few weeks now that everytime I go to feed them, these little white bugs come flying out of the tank. I have never had this problem before and I don't know what they are and what to do with them. Can you please help me?
Thank you so much,
Tami Caspersen

ANSWER: Can you give me a better description of the bugs... do they literally fly??? or are they more like small white worms on the glass???? dave

QUESTION: They actually do fly out of the tank when I open the tank lid.

Answer
Do they live in the tank or just under the hood?  If they live in the tank-water then treat them with a copper based medication... this should kill them off... If they just live under the hood because it is warm then try some double sided tape and see if you can get rid of them that way.... dave
