Answer
Hello,
See if the white spots on your fish look like ICK parasites or simply called "White spot" look here please-

If that's what your fish definitely had, the complete water change most likey was the cause. Both the stress and shock of the new water and if the temperature of the new water was cooler than the original tankwater, that is a sure way to get ick. It is easy to treat but can kill fish quickly if not kept under control.

Was water conditioner/dechlorinator added to the tank when the complete water change was done? hopefully so.

Make sure the 90 gallon tank never gets another complete water change and if you still have fish whom have ick...Make sure to start treatment as soon as possible. You can use a medication and raise the temperature to about 80F.

*I've used traditional QUICK cure medication. But there are many medications now available at petstores and most all of them are effective. If you can, you should try to locate the medication that is kinder to fish but still effective on fish. It's called "ICH ATTACK" and here's a link to it and some info.

I've seen it at larger chain petstores. You should look for it if you can.

Work on getting your fish better (if you have any left)

If you like, you could also send me pictures of your sick fish to this email address-

I hope this helps!
