can i safely add a piece of coral to my fresh water tank?

hi Todd:  yes you can add coral to your tank... so long as the coral is not alive... if you add coral make sure you test your pH often as coral can alter you pH.... as well as harden your water.... mix coral with fish that are likely not to be injured by it... coral is sharp and freshwater fish are not always use to being around coral... hope this helps...dave
