Question
i have two male bettas despite what everyone says they get along neither has attacked or hurt each other but on the first day i got them they seemed fine and they even ate normally and they explored the tank  
but its the second day now and oscar one of the males wont come out of the corner and fwaa the other male stays up top all day i used to have lots of ecsessories but i took them all out because i thought they might be crowded and now they havent been eating

Hi Brenda,
I think I would separate your males. Sooner or later they will fight if they haven't tried to already when you were not around to see. Their behavior may be related to the stress of two males being in the same territory. That sounds like either a stress-behavior your fish are showing, or an avoidance behavior. There could be a water quality issue going on here as well and it wouldn't hurt to do a 50% water change just in case. Always making sure to treat the water with a water conditioner and insure the temp is equal to or just a bit warmer than your tank's temp.

Another thing is check the temperature, cooler temps will slow a betta down tremendously. Room temps are never a good thing for bettas and they thrive better at temps of 78-80F.
