Question
Hi,

How often do I can ge the water in my 20 liter tank, do I replace 25% of the water a a weekly basis and how will I know if my fishies has diseases?

Answer
Hi Marietta;

You need to get a basic book on fish keeping so you have some information to get you started. If your fish start to act abnormally or you even think they might be sick, ask a professional to help you or look at your book for the symptoms of disease. New Tank Syndrome toxins will make fish sick too so many times it is mistaken for disease. You should never use medicine unless you know the cause is not water quality related. If there is something wrong in the water, medicine can make them more sick. Here are some links to pages that may help you;

Every tank needs a 25% change every week, or more if the tank is overcrowded or is still in the break-in period. Here are some web pages that will help you until you can get a book;
