Question
I have a few small angelfish in a 10 gallon tank, and would like to get one or two algae eaters to go with it.  Can you please tell me what sort of algae eaters besides placos that I can consider?

Answer
Well, to help keep your tank clean you can get some snails. They are great. They eat algae and left over food. Also, to remove the excess food you can get two or three cory catfish. The corys will not eat algae but will help keep your gravel and any small areas clean. They are also adorable fish with great personalities. They are peaceful and will not bother the angels. You could get two or three small snails and two or three corys and that would keep your tank pretty clean. To aid in the algae removal you could get one small pleco. They come in a wide variety: albino, rubbernose, spotted, and so on. Because the corys, snails, and plecos are bottom feeders they can fit in the small tank. However, I would not get more than two or three snails, two or three corys, and one algae eater or you would be overstocking with bottom feeders. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else.
