Question
I have a 25 gallon tank and had community fish in it. Every fish I have put in it has died within two weeks. I have purchased a new pump, a heater, washed the stones (with no chemicals) and used spring water in starting my tank. The more I try the worse it gets. I feed one pinch of food that Petco has recommended. I have no other items in the tank now except the stones. The temperature was 76 degree's. At this time, I have no fish. I am ready to start again. Any suggestions?

Answer
hey Sandra,

Go back to petco with a cup of water (in a ziplock bag) ask for a free water test. if the water comes back high in ammonia, then get AmQuel. My guess is the ammonia level went up because you didnt properly cycle your tank. It's really not hard to cycle, it's just time consuming. When you go in to petco, ask them for a care sheet on how to cycle (or ask them how). hope this helps!

if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
