white fuzz on my albino and tiger barb

i have a white fuzzy substence on the tail of my tiger barb and on the fin of my albino barb.and they havent been eating. i have a 5 gallon take with 2 albino barbs and 1 tiger there is also an alge eater. im very inexperienced. what do i do

Hi Danielle:  First off... congratulations on being a fish keeper... Now about those sick fish.  change about 30% of the water and replace it.  Raise the tank temperature to about 86 degrees, add aquarium salt per its instruction label...  Watch the fish overnight and let me know what happens.  If you need to go to the aquarium store...today... please buy a nice antifungal med.  I have not had much luck with pimafix and do not let them sell you malafix...its more for open wounds then infection.... Keep me posted... dave
