Question
QUESTION: 55 gal tank with 4 cory's, 6 zebra danio's,and 2 blood parrot cichlids....and I want to add a Tiger Oscar will the tiger Oscar get along?

ANSWER: Hi Bill:  If you buy parrot fish and the Oscar when they are very small... then your idea COULD work.  A synodonus catfish would be better then cory cats in this case.  The danios... may become lunch... though it is hard to tell.  Cichids are easier to mix when they are very small as opposed to 3 inches and above.  The smaller size allows them to grow up with their tank mates and they tend to not eat them.  dave

QUESTION: I already have the corys, danio's, and one parrot at about 2 inches I know I need one more for him as a play mate. But I wanted to make sure that the parrots will get along with the Oscar.

Answer
There is not always a correct answer for these types of questions.  A lot depends on the fish themselves.  When you start with smaller fish they seem to be more tolerant of each other.  I have parrot fish that live with discus without any problems and I have parrot fish that I can not mix with hardly anyone else because they are very aggressive.  If you buy a small Oscar and another Parrot it is likely that they will live together without problems... try it and see... but keep in mind that if they start to fight you will need to separate them.  dave
